Quality Industrial Services Since 1950

SSPC Certified Industrial Painting Contractor

Hartman Walsh is proud to be an SSPC certified painting contractor. The Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) is a national organization focused on the protection and preservation of concrete, steel and other industrial and marine structures and surfaces through the use of high-performance industrial maintenance coatings. As the leading source of information on industrial coating services and applicable environmental regulations and health and safety issues for the industry, SSPC provides thorough and well-respected testing and certification for surface preparation and industrial painting contractors across the nation. SSPC determines certification based on an annual qualification audit that measures competence of contractors in two categories.

For QP1 SSPC certification, contractors are evaluated on the basis of safety, quality control, technical capability and management services. QP2 certification requires contractors to demonstrate proficiency in the management of hazardous paint removal projects, technical capabilities related to hazardous paint removal, personnel qualifications and training and safety and environmental compliance programs.

Hartman Walsh holds both SSPC QP1 and SSPC QP2 certification.
