Vectren Power - Lead Abatement & Containment
We provided lead abatement of large steel structures which were coated with an existing lead-based paint. The out of service plant was being removed and abatement of several steel structures were necessary before torch cutting and removal. Hartman Walsh initially provided a lead assessment utilizing XRF gun testing of designated structures to be removed. A detailed report was generated to inform the Owner of lead levels and necessary procedures before demolition work began. Hartman Walsh then performed lead abatement on the surfaces using HEPA vacuum-attached power tools to remove the lead-based paint.
