Hydroblasting Services
Hydroblasting is a technique that is commonly used for painting preparation and industrial cleaning purposes. Hydroblasting relies entirely on the high pressure use of water to achieve the desired effect. At Hartman Walsh, our flexible hydroblasting services range from equipment rental to full service, depending on the unique needs and hydroblasting capabilities of each client. Often used for the removal of coatings and linings, cutting and demolition of steel and concrete and lead paint removal, hydroblasting is considered a safer and more environmentally friendly alternative to comparable methods that utilize abrasives to achieve similar results.
Sand Blasting and Painting Preparation
Sand blasting and painting preparation are often considered one in the same. Though other surface preparation methods like hydroblasting are now widely used, sand blasting remains a traditional and popular technique. The sand blasting process can be done using a variety of substances including copper slag, baking soda or actual sand. Sand blasting is useful in the painting preparation process because it helps to shape, smooth and clean hard surfaces quickly and effectively.
Lead Containment
As opposed to lead removal, lead containment provides a far less complicated and expensive way to eliminate lead related health hazards while simultaneously preserving the beauty and charm of old structures. Much like our other industrial coating services and painting methods, our lead containment technique uses a safe, liquid coating to encapsulate the existing lead based paint. Once it's dry, this lead containment coating forms a watertight seal over the offending paint that meets federal regulations for lead safety. Best of all, our lead containment services are no more complicated or restrictive than an average painting project.
Regardless of which method of surface preparation your industrial coating project requires, you can dramatically lengthen the lifetime of your equipment and structures by having us apply a corrosion resistant coating the the newly prepped surface. These coatings are specially formulated to resist cracking, pitting and general deterioration.
The personal attention to detail and the value of the work Hartman Walsh performs is greatly appreciated.
